Over the years, University of Wisconsin men's basketball head coach Bo Ryan has earned a good deal of recognition for his long list of coaching accomplishments. This weekend, Ryan returned to where his career began to receive yet another honor.
Ryan, a native of Chester, Pa., was inducted into the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Sunday night.
Ryan played football, basketball and baseball at Chester High School before moving on to play college basketball at Wilkes (Pa.) University. After graduation, Ryan began his coaching career at Sun Valley High School, where he won Delaware County Coach of the Year in 1976 after leading his team to the state tournament for the first time in school history.
