Video: Flood ruins dream for motel owners

The Prairie House Motel in Spring Green has been closed since last summer's floods and its owners are trying to find $1.8 million in financing to raze and rebuild the motel.

I totally agree with Kim on this one. I can't beleive that the goverment can not see that not much has changed, it is getting worse for people to borrow money from and institution. They should of given the money to the American people that way it would be distributed everywhere such as grocery stores,department stores and to pay alot of bills.

My heart goes out to this couple. How can it be that our government is willing to step in and help out failing financial institutions that were grossly mismanaged yet they are not willing to assist this couple who has lost everything due to a natural disaster? Is this what our country represents?

I certainly hope this story touches those that have the power to make a change.
