People seeking to get involved as individuals, families, groups or corporations in improving the Allied Drive area may contact United Way 211, which serves as a clearinghouse for donations and volunteers and matches offers of help with groups working in the neighborhood. Call 211 or 608-246-4357. <

Groups working on behalf of Allied Drive residents are seeking volunteer tutors, mentors, sports coaches and food pantry workers. They also are seeking such items as food, office and craft supplies, sports equipment, baby supplies and children's books. <
