CHICAGO -- On days like this, baseball waits for the window to open. However, some 40 minutes before game time, the window is still closed.

At least the fog is lifting. You can almost see some of the high rises off to the east of Wrigley Field. But the puddles are getting bigger on the tarp covering the infield. Also, they widened the warning track here in the offseason, and there are some portions starting to look like a moat, especially in right field.
