NFL Draft: Packers swing trade with St. Louis at No. 128, back to moving back
GREEN BAY -- Now THAT'S more Ted Thompson's style.
Not long after trading up in the draft for the first time in his four years in Green Bay, the Packers GM was back to his old tricks, trading the Packers' second fourth-round pick, No. 128 overall, to the St. Louis Rams for a fifth-rounder (No. 137) and a seventh-rounder (No. 217).
The Packers had given up their fifth-round pick to move up to take Wake Forest defensive end Jeremy Thompson, leaving them with three fourth-rounders and no fifth- and sixth-rounders. Now, they have one more fourth-round pick left (No. 135, a compensatory pick they cannot trade), the fifth-rounder and two seventh-rounders.
