Inevitably, a reporter asked Gov. Jim Doyle today what he thought about Brett Favre's imminent signing with the Minnesota Vikings.
Doyle had invoked the waffling signal-caller on Monday when he announced he wouldn't seek a third term as governor. Doyle said while he would probably regret his decision not to run again, he wouldn't "pull a Brett Favre" and change his mind.
Today Doyle said he appreciates Favre.
But he added: "I just ask you right now, right at this moment, who would you want to be your quarterback, Aaron (Rodgers) or Brett Favre. I think most people in Packerland think we have a pretty good quarterback going into this season."
