Politics Blog: Milwaukee alderman to run for Lt. Gov.
By MARK PITSCH

A Milwaukee alderman has formed a committee to run for lieutenant governor.

Tony Zielinski, a Democrat, made the announcement today. He had previously said he was considering a run for attorney general.

Zielinski, who has been an alderman since 2004, is considered a dogged campaigner. He said the state's second-in-command has a "bully pulpit" to talk about public safety and economic issues.
