Prep Talk: La Follette softball team takes aim at cancer

With the prep softball season winding down, so too are the opportunities to go to bat for a cause.

Madison La Follette will step to the plate Tuesday with a "Striking Out Cancer" game against Janesville Parker at 4 p.m. at Olbrich Park.

Lancers coach Heather Fish e-mailed last week to tell us that players, fans, and coaches will be wearing pink jerseys and T-shirts. Profits from the purchase of the jerseys and shirts will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

" We have had several players and coaches impacted by cancer and wanted to give something back to help the cause," Fish said.
