UW women's soccer: Gunderson leads class of recruits

Middleton goalkeeper Lauren Gunderson leads a class of 11 recruits announced Wednesday by University of Wisconsin women's soccer coach Paula Wilkins.

The group, which will join the Badgers in the fall, includes forwards Lauren Cochlin of Owatonna, Minn.; Laurie Nosbusch of Mequon and Katelyn Tietzen of Kelowna, British Columbia; midfielders Paige Adams of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia; Meghan Flannery of Whitefish Bay; Rita Keimakh of Thornhill, Ontario; Krista Lundgren of Lakeville, Minn. and Leigh Williams of Tomball, Texas; and defenders Michelle Boone of Cincinnati and Morgan Koehler of Voorhees, N.J.

Three of the recruits are training with national teams. Adams and Keimakh are with the Canadian U-20 team, while Nosbusch is with the U.S. U-18 team under former UW coach Dean Duerst.
