Three members of the Wisconsin women's hockey team have been chosen to play for Team USA in the Under-22 series with Team Canada next month.

Senior-to-be Erika Lawler, junior-to-be Meghan Duggan and sophomore-to-be Hilary Knight are among 13 forwards who will play a three-game series with Team Canada Aug. 20 to 23 in Pierrefonds, Quebec.

Meanwhile, winger Mike Mersch, a UW men's recruit from Park Ridge, Ill., has been tabbed to play for Team USA in the Under-17 Selects Five Nations tournament Aug. 19 to 24 in Prievidza, Slovakia.

Mersch was chosen for the squad based on his play in the USA Hockey Select 16 camp last month.

Also chosen for the team was Aaron Harstad, a defenseman from Stevens Point.
