New Show - Greatest American Dog
Angela Troia
After finally kicking my
addiction to "Groomer Has It", I was looking
forward to spending summer evenings outside, until I heard about a new
show starting this Thursday called "Greatest American Dog".
From the description on the CBS web site, it sounds like a cross
between Big Brother and something like So You Think You Can
Fetch:
"Twelve extraordinary teams of dogs and owners from
across the nation from "pageant dogs" to those simply trained at home,
will live together and compete against each other in challenges that
put the owners' ability to train their dogs to the test. Each week, the
judges will eliminate one dog and their owner. The last remaining team
will walk away with a $250,000 cash prize and the title of GREATEST
AMERICAN DOG."
It'll be interesting to see how these people
train their dogs, what challenges they'll be given, and how the dogs get along living together in a strange house (that could be a challenge right there!) One
thing I've noticed already is that the profile pictures seem to prove
the theory that dogs and their owners tend to look alike.
