Kids & Dogs Class

This class is for children of Elementary & Middle School age. Your child will learn how to train your family dog (dogs of all ages encouraged to come!) in a positive, fun way! We learn basic commands and tricks in a kid-friendly environment. We also talk about basic dog responsibilities, care and appropriate etiquette between kids and dogs. Parents are required to stay for the class, and other family members are encouraged to come too! This is a wonderful class to teach your child about your dog, and a great bonding time for the whole family!  Class runs for 4-weeks and costs $60.00.

Book Signing - 8 State Hurricane Kate!

Author Jenny Pavlovic will be here to sell and sign her book about Kate, an Australian Cattle Dog, that was rescued from Hurricane Katrina.  Kate and Jenny proceeded to travel through 8 states to Jenny's home in Minnesota.  The book is the story of Jenny's journey to find Kate's original people.  $5 of each book sale will be donated to a local rescue group, Shelter From the Storm.

Humane Society Heroes Event Day

Paws for a Cause Dog Walk

Our annual dog walk will be held on August 15 from 10am until 2pm at the humane society.  There will be demonstrations, vendors, a silent auction, brat fry, and more - something for everyone.   Plus, this year prizes will be award for the team (pizza party courtesy of Domino's in Horicon) and individual that raises the most money ($50 cash!).   This is a great way to strut your stuff, get some exercise, and raise much needed funds for the humane society.  Pass the word!
