On Campus: Partnership will let Badgers retire together

The Wisconsin Alumni Association has come up with a way to turn your golden years red, through a new Badger retirement community.

UW-Madison’s alumni organization has partnered with Capitol Lakes, a Downtown Madison retirement community, to offer special programs for aging Badgers.

Affiliation between universities and local retirement communities are a growing trend in the U.S., said Mary DeNiro of the Wisconsin Alumni Association.

Eligible alumni will get priority access to residency at Capitol Lakes, learning and travel opportunities with WAA, plus the comfort of knowing that many of their neighbors know all the words to "Varsity."
