WWE Raw

Dane County Coliseum

Saturday

Let's call it what is: The best muscle-bound interactive theater. Think performing these moves are easy night after night? Take a look at Rhythm 's cover photo again. Flashier than ever, World Wrestling Entertainment brings its high-tech show to the Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Fads come and go, but pro wrestling survives over generations. (Take that for it 's worth.) WWE is promoting its Madison stop as its first in more than one year, which doesn't seem that long.

Saturday's lineup features two headline matches: Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton in a WWE Championship match -- for Saturday, at least; and a tag team fight between DX and Umaga and Mr. Kennedy. Others on the roster for this weekend are: Chris Jericho, Snitsky, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella, DH Smith, William Regal, Beth Phoenix and Ashley. The lineup, of course, is subject to change.

Tickets cost $60, $40, $30 and $20. For info, go to www.ticketmaster.com.

"Spiderwick Chronicles"

Various theaters

This chilling but marvelously done recreation of the short novels is splended family entertainment -- depending on the age of your kids. I was surprised how many youngsters, say, 8 and under were in the theater. "Spiderwick's" tale is too intense despite its PG rating for most of them. For the rest, it 's a thrilling treat. The story of three kids who discover an odd book and its powers in an old home maintains its grip for 90 minutes. The books offer more detail, of course, but the film gives you the creatures at full throttle.

Casting Crowns

Dane County Coliseum

Friday

Christian music's most popular pop-rock band at the moment has enjoyed an amazing five-year ride. Its new album, "The Altar and the Door," stays firmly in the religious realm -- this band won't ever crossover. But the songs are sharply written and frontman Mark Hall 's heart is in the right place. The Crowns' stage show is a multi-media effort so expect large screens and even a painter working during a few songs. Go to www.ticketmaster.com for ticket details. There are two opening acts.
