Youth Dance Festival

Stoughton Youth Center Syttende Mai Benefit

What -- or more accurately, who -- are Flame Shark, Quick Draw and Trebor? They 're three bands who will perform in Stoughton for an event Friday night to benefit the Stoughton Youth Center.

Jazz Improv Workshop

WCO/WYSO concert

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra team up, as some of the best young musicians in the state get to perform with the fine musicians in the the chamber orchestra. Nathaniel Wolkstein, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition winner, will perform, as will Maestro Andrew Sewell 's daughter, Lydia, a violinist.

Pro wrestling

Where can you find "The Love Machine " Matt Longtime, Rockin ' Randy and Buzzsaw Brad Hunter? In a wrestling ring in Whitewater, that 's where. The North American Wrestling Federation tightens its turnbuckles for a Saturday night show. We like the pretty boys to overcome the odds and take down the villains.

WORT Block Party

WORT-89.9 FM, Madison 's community-sponsored radio station, hosts its 11th annual block party, featuring the likes of The Pints, The Blueheels, Gadjo Players, Vibe Syndicate and The Nob Hill Boys. Food, raffles, kids games and the like will all be available.

The summer festival season starts unofficially with Fitchburg Days, three days of carnival games, music, food and a Friday night fireworks show that will llight up the skies.

Bonsai show

The Badger Bonsai Society, formed in 1972 specifically to appreciate and promote the Bonsai, has its annual show beginning this weekend at Olbrich Gardens. This is the public 's chance to check out these growing miniature landscapes.
