POLICE REPORT: Sun Prairie teen killed in crash at intersection
The woman killed in a two-car crash Friday was identified Monday as Tiffany M. Dutcher, 18, of Sun Prairie.
Dutcher died in the accident that happened about 5:30 p.m. at Hoepker Road and Highway 51. Madison police said Dutcher was westbound on Hoepker Road, stopped for a stop sign at Highway 51, then drove into the path of a car driven by Coltin Tuggle, 19, of DeForest, who was driving north on Highway 51.
Tuggle suffered minor injuries. Neither Tuggle nor Dutcher were wearing seat belts, police said.
Robbed at gunpoint
Police are looking for two men involved in a robbery Friday night in a near West Side neighborhood.
A man and a woman, both from Middleton, were walking toward Vilas Park about 10 p.m. and were at Randall Avenue and Mound Street when a man brandishing a handgun approached and demanded the woman's purse. She handed it over, but the man refused to give the robber his wallet.
The robber was described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall and about 175 pounds. He was wearing a gray, hooded jacket, a baseball cap and blue jeans. A second man was nearby, police said, and may have been acting as a lookout.
Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said police are trying to determine if the two have been involved in similar robberies.
Sixth arrest
Dane County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Lodi man early Saturday for his sixth alleged drunken driving offense.
The Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to an emergency medical call about 4:25 a.m. in the village of Dane, where a woman reported that an unconscious man was in a car in her driveway. Deputies found Leroy E. Anderson, 46, who was drunk and attempting to drive to a friend's home, the Sheriff's Office said.
