Three elementary principals are being shuffled to other schools beginning with the 2008-09 school year, Madison School District officials announced Thursday.

The new assignments are:

• Mary Hyde to Lindbergh from Leopold, where she has worked for eight years.

• John Burkholder to Leopold from Midvale, where he has worked for five years.

• Pam Wilson to Midvale from Lindbergh, where she has worked for four years.

"We periodically re-assign principals because we believe the change is beneficial to the students, the staff, the principals and the district," Superintendent Art Rainwater said in a statement.
