Damage summary: Widespread flooding began Monday, inundating Gays Mills, Steuben and Soldiers Grove. UW-Extension said the worst-affected regions were an estimated 10,000 acres in the low-lying areas along the Kickapoo River from Gays Mills to Wauzeka.
Evacuations: 175 from Gays Mills, 50 from Soldiers Grove and two homes and three businesses in Steuben.
Road status: Highway 131 in both directions was closed between Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills and from Steuben to Highway 60. Highway 171 in both directions was blocked in Gays Mills between Highway 131 and Gay Street. Highway 179 has been blocked in both directions from Highway E to Hook Hill Road.

DANE COUNTY
Damage summary: As of Thursday, $16.5 million in damage, including $9 million to crops, $4.4 million to homes and $2.6 million to public structures. Those figures have increased, but no new numbers were available Saturday. Monona and the town of Dunn were among the areas with the most flooding damage. Lakes Mendota, Monona, Waubesa and Kegonsa remain at high levels, with concerns continuing over water contamination and flooding.
Evacuations: Some near Fish Lake in the town of Roxbury.
Road status: Interstate 39-90-94 west was closed from Highway 151 to Highway 78. Highway 14 was closed at Highway 92 in Brooklyn.

DODGE COUNTY
Damage summary: Significant property damage, especially in Beaver Dam. Crop damage was nearly $20 million as of Friday, said Matt Hanson of UW-Extension.
Evacuations: Some voluntary evacuations in the town of Portland early in the week. Areas of downtown Beaver Dam were evacuated Thursday night, and more evacuations were ordered on Saturday.
Road status: Many roads were closed Saturday, especially in the southwest and southeast corners of the county, including Highway 16 between Frank Road and Tamarack. Access to the Fox Lake and Randolph areas has been limited.

Damage summary: Heavy rains Thursday destroyed four homes and caused major damage to many others. Potosi, Livingston and Lancaster took the brunt of the storm, with water rising several feet in many areas. At Burton, the Grant River rose 8 feet in two hours. Estimates of damage were unavailable Saturday evening as officials investigated two more reports of major home damage in Potosi after heavy rain and hail hit the area.
Evacuations: About eight people have been unable to return to their homes.
Road status: Highway 133 between Blue River and Muscoda was expected to reopen Saturday night; it reopened earlier in the Potosi area. Seven or eight county highways were, as were nearly three dozen town roads closed due to water, debris and, in some places, serious bridge damage.

GREEN COUNTY
Damage summary: Agricultural losses are more than $5 million, primarily for corn and soybeans; home damages are nearly $400,000 and agricultural building losses are about $200,000 for sheds and barns lost to high winds. Agricultural losses were centered on the Sugar and Pecatonica rivers and were estimated at 5 percent to 7 percent of the corn and soybean crop.
Evacuations: One family left in Monroe due to flooding.
Road status: Highway MM was closed, as was West River Road from Fox Valley Road to Martintown Road. Roads that have water on them and may close are Babler Road near the Illinois state line, Dill Road and Decatur-Albany Road west of Highway E.

IOWA COUNTY
Damage summary: $1.5 million in residential damage, mostly from flooding from the Wisconsin River in the village of Avoca. About $2.2 million in damage to public structures, including bridges. Some damage to farms. Residents in Avoca were returning to their homes this weekend, pumping out water and assessing the damage.
Evacuations: More than 150 people in about 100 homes in Avoca were evacuated; about 30 people stayed in shelters Friday night.
Road status: Highway 130 between Avoca and the Lone Rock bridge was closed.

Damage summary: About 800 to 1,000 homes flooded, mostly in Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Milford and Hubbleton. The Rock River was expected to crest on Tuesday in Jefferson and Wednesday in Fort Atkinson, and the Crawfish River was expected to crest on Tuesday.
Evacuations: Many people near Lake Koshkonong and in Jefferson evacuated beginning Friday, and Jefferson was not open to through traffic Saturday.
Road status: At least 20 roads were closed Saturday, including Highway 19 east of Portland and Highway 26 between Riverview Drive and Walworth Street.

Damage summary: Preliminary estimates place agricultural losses at $60 million and municipal and public damage at about $50,000. This weekend's Canoe Fest is continuing in Darlington, but canoe races on the Pecatonica have been canceled.
Evacuations: No residential areas were evacuated.
Road status: The Highway 23 bridge over the Pecatonica River in Darlington reopened Saturday and was expected to stay open, barring more rain. Highway C north of Calamine, over the west branch of the Pecatonica River was closed but may reopen soon. Walnut, Rollercoaster, Riverside and Marsh roads were closed.

RICHLAND COUNTY
Damage summary: Early estimates suggest damages of $1.5 million to homes and businesses, plus more than $3 million in agricultural losses from the southeast region of the county. The hardest-hit areas were Viola, Lone Rock, Buena Vista, Rockbridge and Yuba. Most of Saturday's rain missed the county, and the emergency operations center closed Saturday afternoon.
Evacuations: About 55 people evacuated from Richland Center homes early last week have returned, but residents of damaged homes in Viola, Lone Rock and Buena Vista, have been unable to go back.

Damage summary: Very preliminary damage assessments have topped $200,000 and are climbing. Beloit and Janesville declared emergencies Saturday, with a special Janesville City Council meeting set for this afternoon. Sandbags are available at town halls of Beloit, Fulton, Rock and Janesville and in Mallwood Park in the town of Milton.
Evacuations: It was strongly recommended Saturday by the Rock County Sheriff's Department that people living in low-lying areas along the Rock River evacuate as the river continued to rise toward a predicted 100-year-flood level.
Road status: At least seven roads were closed, including Smith Road from Avon Store Road to Highway T and Beloit Newark Road from Nelson Road to Highway T.

Damage summary: At least $19.2 million in residential and commercial private property. At least $900,000 in damage to public property. Baraboo, La Valle, Reedsburg and Spring Green among the areas hardest hit. The Baraboo River has crested and is receding, and some people were returning to inspect their flooded homes.
Evacuations: The World War II-era Original Wisconsin Ducks helped rescue people from homes and businesses in Baraboo, and shelters housed displaced people in Reedsburg and La Valle.
Road status: Many roads in the flooded areas remained closed Saturday.

VERNON COUNTY
Damage summary: At least 100 homes have been damaged; areas of Viola, Readstown, La Farge and Ontario were especially hard-hit.
Evacuations: Evacuation notices were lifted Saturday morning for areas downstream of the following dams: Runge Hollow and Duck Egg in the town of Jefferson; Yttri/Primmer, Hidden Valley and Seasbranch in the town of Viroqua; and Jersey Valley in the town of Christiana. No other dam evacuations were in effect, but hillsides around those dams suffered damage that could be aggravated by more rain.
Road status: Highway 33 near Wildcat Mountain was closed, as do numerous smaller roads.
