Honors: Janet Moore of McFarland received a School Forest Award from the LEAF (Learning, Experience and Activities in Forestry) Program at the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education conference held Oct. 31.

She helped develop a forest management plan, a forest education plan, organized professional development opportunities for teachers as well as mobilizing volunteers to clear invasive species and conduct trail and other repairs at the forest to restore the property and enable environmental education to take place in a natural setting.
