An Orfordville man was shot in the foot, while in his carSunday night. A buddy who was also in the car was not injured, according to Rock County Sheriff's Department reports. Details of what led to the accidental discharge of the shotgun were vague, deputies said, as both men were intoxicated and unsure of where they had been drinking before the accident.

Deputies were called at 9:30 p.m. Sunday to a Holden Road residence in Orfordville, where Keith Simonson, 39, was found with a shotgun wound to his right leg. Simonson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville, where he was reported in good condition Monday, and a friend, Chase Stiklestad, 29, of Brodhead, was held for questioning and released.
