Former University of Wisconsin quarterback Tyler Donovan recently signed a 3-year contract with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League, his agent, John Paul Perla Jr., announced Monday in a news release.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Donovan, the Badgers' offensive MVP in 2007, attended a minicamp March 7 to 9 in Edmonton and is expected to be one of four quarterbacks on hand when Eskimos training camp opens May 21.
Donovan, a former Hartland Arrowhead athlete, threw for 2,607 yards and 17 touchdowns with 11 interceptions last season, and also rushed for 277 yards and five TDs.
