Bucks: 76ers take care of things early
Associated Press

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks played like a team that just crawled out of bed Sunday afternoon.

Playing in their first noon start of the season -- a time that seemed earlier due to Daylight Savings Time -- the Bucks fell 119-97 to the hot-shooting Philadelphia 76ers at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks allowed the 76ers to shoot 63 percent in the first half en route to falling behind by 22 points. Milwaukee was booed off the court at halftime.

"We laid a big egg effort-wise," Milwaukee coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "It's demoralizing to have them shoot like that."

Rookie Thaddeus Young scored 22 points and Samuel Dalembert added 18 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia, which improved to 12-3 since Feb. 5.

Young was 8-for-11 from the floor and made all six free throws, helping Philadelphia (30-33) shoot a season-high 60.3 percent.

"Anybody can step up," Young said. "We're not ball hogs."

Charlie Villanueva had 25 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, which lost for the fifth time in six games.

Michael Redd added 19 points and Charlie Bell had 15 off the bench.

"We haven't had a clue against Philadelphia all year long," Redd said.

The Bucks (23-40) were without starting guard Mo Williams (abdominal strain), who missed his third straight game, and forward Yi Jianlian (sprained ankle), who also missed his third straight game.

Andrew Bogut, who averages 13.7 points and 9.3 rebounds, had just one point and two rebounds.
