A 20-year-old Stoughton man was arrested in connection with the hit-and-run early today of a motorcyclist on Skaalen Road near Spring Road in the town of Pleasant Springs.

Wesley M. Quam was arrested at his home and taken to the Dane County Jail on tentative charges that include causing great bodily harm by drunken driving and failure to render aid, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said.

The 50-year-old motorcyclist, also from Stoughton, was taken to a hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released yet, was wearing a helmet, authorities said.
