TOWN OF WASHINGTON — The Green County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of cattle rustling.

Just after 7:30 a.m., a farmer in the town of Washington called the Sheriff’s Office to report that seven Holsteins were taken from W5800 area of Center Road, located just west of Highway 69 between Monroe and Monticello. The animals range in size from 800 to 1,000 pounds, said Deputy David Tschudy.
