The Dane County Coroner has released the name of the woman killed Thursday while riding her bicycle east of Brooklyn.

Judy A. Copus, 68, of Brooklyn, was riding on a rural stretch of Highway 14 around 2:50 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Beloit woman.

Copus was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining major multiple injuries.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Oregon.
