Highway 60 from Lodi to Prairie du Chien to be dedicated as Wisconsin Scenic Byway
Wisconsin State Journal

A 100-mile stretch of Highway 60 along the Wisconsin River will be dedicated Monday as a Wisconsin Scenic Byway. The highway, from Lodi to Prairie du Chien, features agricultural lands, towering bluffs and picturesque communities, with the Wisconsin River visible from many locations.

A scenic byway designation is a tool to increase tourism, attract businesses and recruit and retain employees, according to officials. The designation could also help communities qualify for grants.

Monday’s events begin in Lodi at 8 a.m. with ribbon cuttings in several communities along the route and ending at 2 p.m. with a reception at the Prairie du Chien Regional Visitor Center. Other communities along the route include Sauk City, Prairie du Sac, Spring Green, Richland Center, Muscoda and Boscobel.
