TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD — Two motorcyclists sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon after they collided in the town of Springfield.

Dean J. Enders, 48, of Waunakee, was traveling eastbound on Highway 19 when he slowed to turn south onto Lodi Springfield Road. Riding behind him was Steven C. Watzke, 53, of Waunakee, who did not realize Enders was turning and hit his motorcycle. Both men were taken UW Hospital and neither was wearing a crash helmet at the time.

Watzke suffered a leg injury and Enders suffered a head injury in the crash. Highway 19 was closed for about one hour. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the crash.
