Wisconsin State Journal

DANE — Three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon west of the village of Dane, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said a 1999 Lexus was being driven north on Lodi Springfield Road around 4:45 p.m. when it slowed, but did not stop, at the stop sign at Highway V and was hit on its passenger side by a westbound 1997 Toyota pick-up.

Phonephane J. Thonesavanh, 17, of Madison, a passenger in the Lexus, was taken to UW Hospital in Madison by helicopter with serious injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Madison residents Victor K. Suy, 18, who was driving the Lexus, and Michael T. Healy, 31, who was driving the Toyota, were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All three were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation but was not alcohol-related.
