Man attacks Argyle store clerk

ARGYLE — Police in Argyle are looking for a man who attacked a convenience store employee early Tuesday morning.

The employee was entering the Ampride store at 108 W. Milwaukee St. at around 3:30 a.m. when she was pushed into a door and then against a cooler. The disturbance set off an alarm at the Lafayette County store.

The man fled and a second employee found the woman, who was injured and disoriented after the attack and was taken to a hospital.

The man was described as about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 250 to 275 pounds with a dark mustache.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call them at 608-543-9360 or Crime Stoppers at 800-606-TIPS.
