Police on Sunday located the vehicle they believe was involved in a West Side shooting Sunday afternoon but have yet to make an arrest.
One caller to police observed a "younger" male around 3:48 p.m. at the intersection of Theresa Terrace and Hammersley Road firing a gun while chasing a vehicle that was going west on Hammersley Road. That person was said to be wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans. Another caller heard about 10 gunshots in the area. Police said there was evidence that a gun had been fired.
Later, police stopped a vehicle on the West Side that had a bullet hole but said they do not believe the female driver was in the vehicle when it was shot at.
The intersection is not far from the 2000 block of Leland Drive, where 17-year-old Karamee Collins Jr. was shot and killed June 9.
