Family Circle magazine puts Sun Prairie in top-10 cities for families
A Dane County community known for Jimmy the Groundhog and its annual Sweet Corn Festival has been named as one of Family Circle magazine’s 10 best cities for families.
Sun Prairie, a city of about 25,800 people, was chosen from 1,700 communities with populations between 15,000 and 150,000 that were assessed by which best met the magazine’s "family-friendly criteria," according to a news release. Other cities that made the cut include: Evans, Ga.; Edina, Minn.; Perrysburg, Ohio; and Hendersonville, Tenn. Full survey results will appear in the magazine’s August issue that will hit newsstands Tuesday.
