Officials are investigating a death of a Marshall man who was crushed Saturday while working under a trailer in the town of Bristol.

Ronnie Joe Morton, 36, was working under a large trailer supported by jacks when the jacks shifted under the weight, causing the trailer to fall on him, according to a Dane County sheriff’s office news release.

Deputies were notified around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday and responded to the residence on Greenway Road in the town of Bristol.

There is no indication of foul play and the incident is being handled as an accident, the release said.
