Stephanie Hazelbauer and Stan Ho found a rich lode at the Land of Oos stand at the Saturday market. Other markets throughout the Madison area during the week also provide a variety of tasty temptations. The wares at the market included fresh produce, breads, meats and other items, such as spring flowers, harbingers of warmer weather to come. The Saturday farmers' market is popular and the crowds can be thick. But the payoff can be sweet for those who make the trek. Jon Broad of Madison give his daughter, Raya, a perch with a view ? a high vantage point perfect for 4-year-old girls. The day's warm weather and the opening of the outdoor market for the 2009 season brought out thousands of people, making the going slow.
