Sandy and Jack Miller of Owensboro, Ky., look over flooring plans of several Sun Prairie condominiums up for auction next month. A total of 60 properties in Sun Prairie and Fall River built by developer Herman Kraus will be up for auction. All of the properties up for auction are now open and can be toured before the May 2 event.

A total of 60 properties, like this one in Sun Prairie, will be sold at auction next month -- an event promoters are billing as the largest real estate auction in state history.

Jack Miller said they liked the amenities offered as part of the senior housing, such as a theater room, and appreciated how several businesses were within walking distance from the development. "That's attractive," he said. "We don't want to sit and vegetate in retirement."

Several of the senior living condominiums in the Sun Prairie Liberty Square development will be up for auction next month.
