Researchers have laid out seven research plots on Lake Monona's Turville Bay to test the effectiveness of herbicide and early weed cutting to control the invasive Eurasian watermilfoil. A study on Lake Monona's Turville Bay is measuring the effectiveness of cutting weeds earlier in the spring to help promote the growth of native plant species that are shaded out by invasives such as Eurasian watermilfoil.
