Jim Lane, of Wheat Ridge, Colo., is reflected in the side of a 1963 Globe Trotter Airstream trailer owned by Herb Spies, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Roughly 900 bullet-shaped Airstream trailers gathered at the Alliant Energy Center Sunday for an international rally. The Airstream trailers parked at the Alliant Energy Center form what is known as the Silver City. Flags hang from the front of trailers, representing different countries, states and geographical regions from which Airstream club members hail. Ted Smith, of Watertown, N.Y., replaces a wash water cap on his 1979 25-foot Trade Wind Airstream trailer outside the Alliant Energy Center on Sunday. He was in town for the Wally Byam Caravan Club International Rally.
