Dress
•Wear stable, closed-toe shoes.
•Avoid jewelry, drawstrings or dangling items, and tie back long hair.
Finding a ride
•Make sure it looks and sounds maintained, read and understand safety rules, explain rules to children.
•Make sure the operator is paying attention.
•Follow all height, weight, age and health restrictions.
•Understand that even though small children may meet minimum height restrictions for adult rides, the ride may not be appropriate for them.
•Make sure restraint systems fit closely, especially with small children. Many kiddie rides don't have snug restraints.
•Tall or overweight people should check with the operator.
•Don't bully anyone, especially kids, into boarding a ride.
•Trust your instinct and don't board a ride if it doesn't feel right.
Ride safely
•Obey all safety rules
•Double-check all restraints and use all safety equipment.
•Hold on and fix eyes in the direction of the ride.
•Tell children to stay seated during unexpected stops and if they get frightened.
•Don't throw objects from a ride, engage in horseplay or carry on food or drinks.
•Parents should consider accompanying small children when possible.
Get off safely
•Don't exit until the operator allows it or the restraint system releases.
•Walk to the exit.
