Trucks making their way through the water of the Pecatonica as it crossed Main Street at the bridge in Darlington Monday morning. STH 23 was closed to traffic at the bridge at about noon Monday but was reopened as the waters receded Tuesday morning. CTH G at Calamine was closed to traffic Monday morning as the flood waters continued to climb. Calamine is seven miles northwest of Darlington. The flood shields were put in place on the Riverwood Restaurant in Darlington Sunday afternoon when the waters of the Pecatonica started their gradual climb.
