Storm sewer pipes are hidden in a corner of Fireman's Park in Cottage Grove. The village, which has grown rapidly, lacks storage space. But before officials attack the storage problems, voters will be asked to approve spending to improve recreation facilities at the park and build a new library. Village of Cottage Grove Municipal Building. Equipment for recreation league athletes is kept in a cramped storage room inside the Cottage Grove Village Hall, where space is at a premium. On Nov. 4, voters will be asked to spend $3.7 million to expand Fireman's Park to include a recreation center, skate park, tennis courts and other amenities. There's not enough space in the Cottage Grove Public Works building, officials said. So crews have to store off-season equipment in a rented shed.
